The true follower of Christ will not ask, “If I embrace this truth, what
will it cost me?” Rather he will say, “This is truth. God help me to
walk in it, let come what may!”
-A.W. Tozer
“
If the Lord be with us through life, we need not fear for our dying confidence; for when we come to die, we shall find that “the Lord is there;” where the billows are most tempestuous, and the water is most chill, we shall feel the bottom, and know that it is good: our feet shall stand upon the Rock of Ages when time is passing away.

It is in the process of being worshiped that God communicates His presence to men.

C.S. Lewis, Reflections on the Psalms
Great song from the Shane and Shane’s new album. This song reminds me of the same heart that is heard in the psalms. The song is called “without you”…an excellent reminder of the need for humility in response to the gift of His grace.
I have been looking through pictures lately and came across this picture that reminded me how not only the importance of the vine, but the essential guidance of the gardener.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunesso that it will be even more fruitful.”
John 15:1-2
